Merry Christmas 2010!

Santa visited Mason's preschool Christmas party on Monday. He absolutely adored Santa and was so happy!
Reagan didn't care to sit on Santa's lap at Sydenstricker in Tipton. She wanted to stay close to her Daddy!

Mason was busy telling Santa that he wanted a Brush Hog, Drums and Guitar for Christmas.

Our happy boy sitting on Santa's lap!
From our family to yours,
Merry Christmas
&
Happy 2011!

Summer update & pictures!

I took the kids to the park today because I promised Mason if he did his "paperwork", aka homework, for school that I would take him and Reagan to play. Since starting school, we have been working really hard with Mason on learning to complete homework in order to prepare him for kindergarten next year. We have a long way to go. He has gotten really good at writing his name, but doesn't want to really do anything else. Not even color. It really makes it hard on me to get him motivated to even try. I hate to even think about what school will be like next year. He really loves going to preschool and Early Childhood Special Education. He looks forward to going every single day. We have stopped speech therapy in Columbia to allow him more therapy time at school. So far, he has adjusted well to the change, but still asks about going to see Chesney. :( We really love her and miss her a lot. I told Mason we need to make her a card and send it to her to let her know we are still thinking of her.
Reagan is talking so much more. She is putting together sentences. Her first complete sentence was a couple of weeks ago, when Christy, Shelley and I were going shopping and we had Reagan with us. She was "talking" on my BlackBerry to Papa Wayne and she said, "Papa, I love you!" Plain as day. She is really a smart kid! She can already count to 9! Last night Kevin was working on counting pennies with her up to 20. She wants to do homework when Mason is doing his, so we make her copies of his homework so she can do it too! :)
Kevin recently bought a new 2010 Cheverolt Silvarado Diesel pick up truck, which is his DREAM truck. It is all black with black interior. My favorite feature of it is the backup camera so you can see what is behind you when you are backing up....that would have been helpful to me last week when I backed our 2001 Chevy into Kevin's trailer! It is now at the body shop getting fixed. Kevin has been busy selling seed for next year and wrapping up year end things. He has also harvested all of his corn crops. He was disappointed that they didn't make as much as he thought, but all in all, it was a good harvest. The bean crops are just now ready to harvest so he will be doing that in the coming weekends ahead.
I have been trying to balance being a mom, wife, and employee. It is so hard to do at times because I feel like I am running in all different directions and can't devote all the time that I need to do to all the activities. I really want to get some sewing done, but I haven't been able to do that since last November.
Hopefully in the coming weeks, I can get some Christmas gifts made. Speaking of Christmas...yes, I have my shopping started! Thanks to Brennan, Mason wants a guitar from Santa and some drums. :) I look forward to Black Friday shopping again this year with April. It always puts me in such a good mood!

Summer 2010

Riding the lazy river at the resort water park.

Riding the Branson Scenic Railway

Driving the Ducks on Lake Taneycomo

Riding roller coasters at Silver Dollar City.

Riding Go Carts!

It has been a wonderful summer here in Lone Elm!
Kevin has picked up more ground to farm. He has soybeans and corn planted through out Cooper County. Hoegemeyer and Assure Crop are keeping him constantly busy and on the road.

I am keeping busy with the kids, work, and taking Mason to and from Speech and Occupational Therapy this summer. I also attended the midnight screening of the Twilight saga, "Eclipse" on June 30. Shelley was a trooper and went with me! I am such a nerd when it comes to this saga! LOL.

Kevin and I took Mason to Branson for several days for his first ever vacation. We stayed at the Castle Rock Resort and Water Park. We took Mason to see Pierce Arrow, Silver Dollar City, Ride the Ducks, and the Branson Scenic Railway. He had so much fun! He really enjoyed the hotels waterpark and riding roller coasters. Enjoy the pictures!!! More to come soon!

Spring has sprung!

It has been a busy several weeks in the Frieling household. Since Easter, Kevin has been busy with work non stop, between delivering seed, selling seed, delivering fertilizer, selling fertilizer, it doesn't leave a lot of free time for him or a lot of family time. He was lucky enough to get 3 of his fields planted this week. He finished up planting corn today, that leaves just 2 fields to plant his Hoegemeyer soybeans in.

Mason continues to enjoy school and looks forward to going every single day. He has been itching to get in the tractor with his grandparents, and so for the last couple of days, that is where you could find him. Grandma promised him he could ride tomorrow after school too!

Reagan is making a lot of changes. She is getting heavier and a lot taller. She is changing looks and is looking a lot more like me. Poor girl! She is saying so many words and showing her ever growing independence! She loves to shake her head "no" at any question you ask her. Potty training is on the horizon for this summer. This should prove to be a big task!

Anaheim, CA 2010

Kevin and I just got back from a week long trip to Anaheim, California. We were there as part of the American Soybean Association and DuPont Young Leader's Program. While we were there, we enjoyed, great food, friends and each other. I experienced my first ever trip to a Disney theme park. We went to Disneyland, Disney's California Adventure, a grand tour of Los Angeles, and Universal Studios. Here are some of my favorite pictures.

Kevin and I - I was a little drunk in this picture.
Awww!!

Santa Monica Beach.

Rodeo Drive - Beverly Hills. If you ever want to know what uncomfortable feels like, take 10 Midwestners and East Coasters to Rodeo Drive! LOL.

Even though you can not see it, this is where Michael Jackson died. This is the garage where they removed his body from the home. I thought it was facinating!

Kevin and I outside the Kodak Theater, the Hollywood sign is in the background.

Opera singer, Andre Bochelli getting his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Notice the half naked guy standing there watching. I swear you see EVERYTHING in LA!!

Outside the Kodak Theater. They were getting ready for the Oscars!

It was nice to actually have some pictures taken of just the two of us for once.he same picture from before...I was too lazy to take it out of this post! :)

It was cold on Saturday and rainy the entire time we were at Universal Studios!

The night of our awards banquet.

Disneyland with some of our good friends in the DuPont Young Leaders Program. We had so much fun with all of them and can't wait to get together with them again soon!
