Reconnecting with an old friend.

Last night I had the opportunity to go out. BY MYSELF. My parents had the kids, Kevin was not feeling well, so he was home alone. I had made plans with one of my classmates I haven't seen since high school. Erin and I reconnected on Facebook.com. Erin was coming back to the area this week because she had meetings in Columbia. We decided to get together last night and catch up. We made plans to meet at La Hacienda and enjoy dinner.....and a few margaritas! We talked from the moment we got there until the moment we left. We had such a great time reminicing about Catholic school, high school, and our lives in college and with our husbands. It felt so good reconnecting with one of my good friends. I am in awe of Erin and what she has done since we left school. Can you believe she was in the Peace Corps for 2 years in Estonia? I told her last night that I really admire her for that, and I truly do! We decided that the next time she is in town, we are getting together again! We had such a great time!

I gave the kids a bath the other night and Mason was going to give Reagan a kiss and she backed away from him. I hope she is able to do this to other boys until she is 30!!

Here are my two beautiful children. They are such a handful, but such a joy at the same time. I love them more than anything in this world!

Things for us have been going pretty well. It has been really quiet these last several weeks. I guess that is good. Mason continues to go to Speech therapy and preschool. We are going to get him an occupational therapy evaluation to see if we can get help with him with adjusting to new situations. He is making a lot of progress with his peers in social interaction, and for that, we are thankful!

The sickies....

I wonder how long it is going to take for the sickies to leave our residence. As far as I am concerned, they can pack up and leave now. Poor Reagan has not wanted to be put down today. She has fallen asleep on me twice and woke up both times I tried to lay her in her crib for a nap. Nothing seems to be pleasing her. Mason has been really trying my patience this morning. He thinks the dogs should STAY in their carriers all day and keeps locking them in. I keep letting them out. Daisy and Dexter are so confused! I am trying to get some cleaning done in between wiping noses, changing diapers, and holding my babies. I need a margarita and some Calgon to take me away!!

Saturday at the park!

Saturday was such a beautiful day and it was a day that Kevin was actually NOT working! We decided to take Mason and Reagan to Harley Park to play! We even ran into friends of ours, Gerry and Cynda, and their two kids. It was nice to be out in fresh air and visit our friends. It really made us wish for spring to come faster!!

Have you ever been this tired??

Last night I was fixing supper and talking to Mason. When he didn't respond to a question, I looked over and this is how I found him. He didn't take a nap at all and had a slight fever all day. He was exhausted....

I still can't figure out how he could sleep like that!!
