Ain't it funny?

Isn't it funny how you get back in touch with people you barely got to hang out with in school and 14 years later, you can pick up a conversation just like that? That's what happened Saturday night when Erin, Lindsay and I got together at La Hacienda for some drinks. We had such a great time catching up in the almost 3 hours that we were there. It was so nice to be an "adult" for an evening and relax. It makes me sad that we didn't hang out like that in high school, but my goodness, things sure change when you have been out of school so long. You grow up. You realize the people that you get along with now, are not necessarily the people you really hung around with in school. Heather is still my best friend and probably always will be, as will Alisha. But, it is so much fun getting back together and learning more and more about those that those two people who I considered friends back in high school! I look forward to Heritage Days ladies!! Thanks for a wonderful evening!

I must be crazy....

I admit it, I must be crazy. Kevin and I have renewed our membership to the Boonslick YMCA. I haven't exercised since I got pregnant with Mason, almost four years ago. Kevin and I both need the exercise and I am so tired of the extra "flab". Today, after work, I went to exercise. I did 10 minutes on the eliptical machine, 11 minutes/2 miles on the bike, and a couple of minutes on the rowing machine. I must be crazy. Luckily, right now, about two hours after exercising, my muscles aren't screaming out in surrender like they were last Thursday. However, I do have to walk on the treadmill tonight, so who knows what I will feel like then. We are taking a trip for our 10 year anniversary in July, so I want to get in shape..even if the weight loss is slow.

For our 10 year anniversary, Kevin and I are going to South Carolina. We are planning on going to Myrtle Beach, Charleston, Hilton Head Island and Savannah, GA. On the way out there, we are going to hit as many NASCAR race tracks as we can (just to drive by) such as Bristol, Richmond, Charlotte, Darlington, Atlanta, and maybe Talledaga on the way home. We are such NASCAR nerds! We are looking forward to spending some time together and exploring a part of the USA that we have never been too.

Reagan has her first two bottom teeth. She has been feeling pretty crummy the last several days and just wants to be held by Mommy. She has been sleeping a lot and going to bed early.

Mason continues to progress little by little with his speech. Last week he told one of our cats, "Hi, Kitty! HI!" :) He never ceases to amaze me.

We are also excited because we have two new kittens who are currently residing in our kitchen in the dog carrier with their mommy. Dexter isn't too happy about sharing a carrier with Daisy!

Easter 2009

Easter Sunday - Mason hunting Easter egg's at my Mom and Dad's. Christy and Shelley hid 30 eggs for him to find, filled with quarters, M&M's and Butterfinger eggs.

Mason and Christy finding Easter eggs on Easter Sunday.

Mason and Reagan on Easter Sunday at Glenn and Donna's. I can NEVER get Mason to look at the camera anymore. This was the best picture I could get of the both o them!

Reagan's First Easter - 9 months old. Doesn't she look adorable? (not that I am partial...)

Reagan and I getting ready to head over to Glenn and Donna's on Easter Morning.

A picture of our annual Easter Bunny Cake. This is a tradition that Donna started with Kevin and Derek. We each carry on the tradition with our kids. This is our bunny this year. Kevin cut out the pieces, we both iced it and I placed the M&M's on it.

Reagan was checking out the loot Mason got at the church's youth group Easter Egg hunt on Saturday.

Mason enjoyed hunting Easter Eggs this year. He really got the hang of it all.

Donna, Kevin and Reagan helped Mason get the eggs he couldn't reach by himself!

Kevin and Mason at the beginning of the Easter Egg hunt! This is a tradition that the Youth Group at church has started and it has become something the kids look forward to ever year.
The Easter Bunny didn't let us down this year and spent way too much on the kids. Apparently, EB couldn't help it!

I fixed Mason his supper on Wednesday night, he was so tired from not napping that he fell asleep at the table while eating. Poor kid!!

Reagan's impersonation of President Bush - "My fellow Americans......" :)

Doesn't she look just like her Daddy?? It is so scary to see the resemblance!
Mason is going to see his cousins this weekend. Kevin's parents are going to pick him up this morning and take him with them to go visit Derek and April and the kids. Tomorrow Glenn and Donna are taking the kids to the Zoo, but aren't telling Haley and Bronson unti right before they go tomorrow. Mason should LOVE the zoo!
Today I am going shopping with Christy at the Lake. Kevin gets to spend some quality time with his little clone!
