Johnston, Iowa blizzard Dec 9-10, 2009
Kevin and I were in Johnston, IA for an American Soybean Association Young Leader's conference. It was held at the Stoney Creek Inn, from Sunday, Dec 6-Wednesday Dec. 9. We were stranded until Thursday due to the terrible conditions of the roads. Kevin and I left at 9:00 a.m. and made it home by 4:00. A lot of that time included going 30 mph on the interstate all south to Missouri. Once we hit Missouri, we were home free. We had a great time at our conference, despite the snow/blizzard. We met so many great people, who we get to see again in March when we go to Anaheim for the Commodities Classic. Here are some pictures, not necessarily in order...enjoy!

So much going on...
There has been so much going on these last couple of months. I have been really bad about keeping the blog updated.
The kids really enjoyed going Trick or Treating on Halloween. Mason was McDonalds French Fries and Reagan was a ladybuy. Mason loved going house to house asking for "treats". He really cleaned up on the candy and the only place we trick or treated was in Lone Elm! I love that this farming community in the middle of nowhere is all lit up at Halloween and gives out candy to all the kids! We had a great time taking the kids around!
Kevin and the kids have been sick for the last week. Mason and Reagan are finally getting over their colds. I haven't been sick yet (knock on wood).
Kevin and I will be going to Johnston, IA this weekend until Wednesday for the American Soybean Association. We are so lucky to have our parents who will watch the kids for us!
We are anxiously awaiting Christmas. I have all my shopping done! Mom and I went shopping on Black Friday and had so much fun mingling with the people. No craziness went on...the lines moved fast and the people were very nice and cordial. :) The house is decorated for Christmas. All I need to do is keep it clean (ha ha ha), and wrap the Christmas presents so I can walk in the bedroom closet again!
