I didn't get any pictures of the guys going through the corn plot but it is HUGE. I will try to get a picture later this week of it. Yesterday was a great day for the tour. Kevin's boss, the president, executive vice president and customer service representative all came down from the home office to speak with the customers. We are very thankful for this new endeavour in our lives. Hoegemeyer feels "right". Kevin is so happy, which in turn makes me very happy! I love seeing his passion again!

Hoegemeyer Field Day
Yesterday was Kevin's annual kick off meeting and testplot tour. Normally it would be considered NC+'s plot tour, but this year is different. Kevin began working for Hoegemeyer Hybrids in July as a DSM - just like he was with NC+. This year marks the first testplot featuring his Hoegemeyer line up. Kevin had a great turn out to the day. Here are a few pictures.
Jerry Meyer, Kevin's boss, talks to the guys about the Hoegemeyer line up of soybeans.
Kevin's Hoegemeyer dealers look at the bean plot.
Kevin working his magic in he bean plot.
Notice Mason in the middle and my Dad (bottom right) looking on. Mason wanted so badly to go running through the beans, like he does in the corn.

Child of the corn.
Last night we were at Glenn and Donna's. Mason's new favorite thing is to run up and down the corn rows laughing and squealing. He really is growing up so fast. Here are some pictures! Enjoy!

Kevin and I spent the weekend in our old stompin' grounds of Hutchinson, KS. We went to a retrement party for John Schletzbaum, his former boss. It was great to go back and see our old house and the town. I have to admit. I don't miss it at all. I do miss John and Terri and our house, but that's pretty much it. I also miss our old neighbors, Rick and Debbi. I am so glad we are home. It is where we are meant to be. As Dorothy says, "There's no place like home."
